The Kimochi initiative empowers children to explore diverse opportunities and make informed career decisions that align with their aspirations.Recognizing that most students aimed only to become engineers or doctors due to parental and societal pressure, we set out to broaden career options and provide guidance that empowers both students and parents to make confident, informed decisions

These days, there is fierce competition for entrance exams, with most students striving to become engineers or doctors and targeting prestigious universities with acceptance rates below 0.01%. As a result, children's career choices have become limited and biased, leading to a lack of diversity and potentially hindering the country’s development. Now is the time to decentralize career options.

we aim to expand career choices for students below 12th grade through university class experiences and career exploration experiences. Additionally, by incorporating guidance from universities and companies, we provide career paths that both students and parents can confidently embrace

Our role in execution

Two Key Solutions: Career Consultation & Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL)
1. Career Consultation Helps students gain self-awareness and discover suitable career paths through guided sessions and reflection-based activities.
2. Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) Engages children in problem-solving lessons that clarify career paths early on. Through collaborations with universities and companies, IBL offers real-world exposure to various professions—keeping curiosity and interest alive.

Efforts needed for implementation of the new methods are high and shortage of labour makes it even more expensive, given the meagre profits. ”

Incorporating Inquiry-Based Learning(IBL) into career support platform for India high school students can significantly enhance their learning experience and career decision-making process. By fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world connections, IBL empowers students to explore their interests and make informed choices about their futures. This approach not only prepares them for specific careers but also equips them with the skills and mindset need for lifelong success in an ever-evolving job landscape.
