Executive summary

Users can report unattended trash around the campus by simply snapping a picture and adding description. The app automatically sends the report to the concerned supervisor for that particular region. Supervisors can share the details on whatsapp to cleaning staff and clear the task(even deny if required). Once the spot is cleaned, user receives the notification for the same. In this way the app bridges the gap of communication between students and IITH Administration and promotes quick and efficient cleaning activities, helping supervisors in identifying the areas which require attention.

Current Situation :
1. Many cases of littering & untouched overflowing trash bins in IITH
2. Inconvenience in reporting to cleaning staff

1. Litter & overflowing trash bins aren't left untouched for several days in the campus
2. Students can easily report to cleaning staff if they find abandoned trash
3. Students voluntarily dispose of trash in the bin

Creating a platform to report the waste problem between students and supervisors in IIT. First, we created a communication feature, as there is an actual need for it to acquire more users & raise awareness about waste

Learnings & Failures

Learning:

We have learned that many stakeholders are involved in executing this project, and it is crucial to maintain close communication with them

Failures:

The release date was delayed compared to the original plan. It was initially scheduled for December, but due to inadequate human resource management and task breakdown, the release was pushed to January. I have learned that it is crucial to create a detailed schedule plan leading up to the release date
